Casey believes in giving back to the community. To that end, we are involved in a number of activities that focus on benefiting families and children.
We are proud of the charitable legacy established by our founder Rex Casey. In the mid-1960s, Rex chaired the building committee responsible for construction of the Boys Club (now Boys and Girls Club) in our hometown of Albany, Oregon. Casey has continued to support this valuable organization.
Habitat for Humanity, an organization that builds homes for deserving families, provides a rewarding opportunity for our craftspeople to use their skills away from their project sites and a chance for staff and office personnel to mingle. The organization has nationwide chapters that allow both our offices and project sites to participate.
Many of our projects are long-term, allowing enough time for our field crews to involve themselves in small-town communities. Building a town park shelter and coaching Little League are typical examples. Not only do the communities benefit, but our employees establish a closer bond with their neighbors.
Casey Industrial promotes metal recycling at our offices and jobsites to reduce waste and to raise funds for earmarked charities such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, Boys and Girls Club of Albany, Boys and Girls Club of Lebanon, and International Family Ministries / House of Cornelius [link to www.ifmus.org].
In addition to our regular support outlets, Casey supports one-of-a-kind causes on an as-needed basis. For example, one of our employees and his neighbors were severely impacted by Hurricane Katrina. We teamed with one of our major tool suppliers to quickly supply a trailer load of generators to their community to provide temporary power. Another example is support to members of the Casey community who suffer medical emergencies.
